By the time we left the campground (about 9:30 AM) the place had pretty well emptied out. I think the secret to getting a spot in these on-the-Trace campgrounds is to leave early and pull off the road early!
Once again - we had a beautiful day. Sunny, low humidity, with high temps right around 80 degrees. Picture perfect.
We spent our travel day doing much of the same things we have the previous two days. We drive a ways - We pull off to check out spots of interest along the Trace - We marvel at the beautiful scenery - We (Peggy) take lots of pictures.
The Trace
Wildflowers
Beautiful Scenery
A bit of Civil War History along the Trace
A bit older History (a couple of thousand years older)
Several hours and about a hundred miles later we arrived at today's destination - Tishomingo State Park in the northeast corner of Mississippi.
Another Great Day Indeed!
Tomorrow we are in for a treat. Tour day in Red Bay, Alabama.
My RV friends will understand ... you others will have to wait 'till tomorrow.
