We got an early start on our eastward trip on Sunday and left the Top of The Hill RV Resort right around 8:00 AM.
As we made the trip back along I-10 heading east we were treated to some beautiful displays of Texas wild flowers that have really sprung up these last two weeks. These pictures don't really capture the beauty - but they're the best we could do at 60 mph.
We were also "treated" to a whole lot of traffic. The spring breakers must have been all heading home at once 'cause the highways were full of 'em!
In spite of the traffic - we arrived back here at the Rainbows End RV Park in Livingston, TX right around 2 PM.
Yesterday was chore day. We had a pretty busy day with laundry to do and grocery shopping to accomplish ... but we managed to get it done ... just in time for Tea Time with D&J. We followed TTime with dinner in our own rigs (a rare occasion for us) and then we got back together at D&Js place for root beer floats. They claim the floats were "Mikee's fault." But I blame it on Jamie & Ernie Q out there in sunny California at the Quiring RV Resort, Bed & Breakfast, and Classic Car Restoration Center.
Today will be spent listening to the rain and thunder. We are sitting out a huge thunderstorm that is moving through Texas and will soon be bringing rain, wind, and weather to all ya'll east of Texas. We are expecting inches of rain so here's hoping that this place drains well!
Be sure and check back in tomorrow to see how well the pontoons helped Winne stay afloat.
hope you didn't float away! and don't have to trade the motorhome in for an ark?
